AWJ specialise in the design and installation of architectural and secondary metalwork including steel staircases.
BespokeDesigns
Staircases are designed bespoke with early consideration given to the installation methods to best decide if the stairs are fabricated in welded units lifted in with a crane or bolt together stringers and treads where a crane cannot be used.
Flexible Solutions
Consideration is given to programme requirements which may dictate the finishes such as if the stairs are required early in a project to provide site access, these can be primed to receive site decoration at a more suitable time. Or stairs can be finished with a spray applied paint finish , or powder coated.
Stringer Supports
Stringers are the supports for the treads, and these can be flat plate, channel , box section or circular tube underslung.
Custom Balustrades
As we fabricate bespoke, the balustrades to stairs can be any design from vertical infill bars to glass or even solid metal plates with handrails attached.
Floor Finishes
Floor finishes we can offer chequer plate open steel, pan treads to receive screed and carpet and or timber along with bespoke laser cut patterns.
